The History or Story Behind My Site
I Enjoy Going To The Different Car & Truck Shows Around Different Places Like Batavia, Hornell, Buffalo, Rochester, Victor, Dansville, Geneseo. I Take A Lot Of Pictures Using Both Digital And 35mm Prints. I Have 2 - Kodak Digital Camera's One Is A 210+ And The Second One Is A 290 Digital. I Have 2 - 64MG Picture Cards Along With A 16MG, 10MG, 8MG Picture Cards. These 5 Cards Using A Low Resolution Settings On Both Camera's Will All Me To Take Over 2000 Digital Pictures Without Downloading Any Cards. This Is Great. We Go To A Lot Of Balloon Festivals Around The State And I Have Done Over 1100 Pictures At Just One Show. My 35mm Camera's Include 1 - Minolta XG-7, Minolta XG-A, 2- Minolta 5xi Auto Focus Camera's And My Newest One Is A Minolta Maxxum 5 Auto Focus. I Have Several Point & Shoot Camera's That Fit In Your Shirt Pocket. I Also Have A Quasar PalmCorder For Doing Videos At Different Places. With Each Camera I Try Using a Different Speed Film In Each One. I Like To Expirement Using These Different Films Doing Fireworks And Lightning Storms. I Try To Purchase Film By The Block Of 20 If The Price Is Right. Really, Anything Over A Dollar A Roll Is Too Much To Pay. I Look For The Deals. Outdated Film Is OK To Use. I Have Used It Before And Never Had A Problem. I Keep It Cold Until I Am Ready To Use It. I Develope My Own Black & White In My Darkroom At Home. I Have Taken Courses At Genesee Community College For Film Developing And Also Through The New York State Fire Acadamy In Montour Falls, NY. I Have Been Doing Fire Photography Since 1971 Thru The Perry Fire Department Which I Have Belonged Since 1971.
NEW FOR 2005
I Have Been Coming To The ATHS Show In Batavia Since 1995. Most Of My Pictures Within The Past Couple Of Years Have Been All Digital. This Year I Took All Of 100 Digital Pictures And 4 Rolls Of Prints. Now for 2005 I have a new Konica Minolta 7D Digital SLR for taking super shots of over 100 vehicals at each show. I have a 512mb picture card that allows me to shoot 950 pictures in a low jpeg standard setting. Moving it up to the max would be about 50 pictures that I can make great prints from up to 20" X 24". I don't know if I want to use a new camera for just 50 prints instead of the 950 print setting. I Will Probably Also Use Film To Have An Album Of Photos To Show.
